Mountain Gorillas of Congo
Mountain gorillas are one of the world’s rarest and most majestic creatures, living only in the mountainous rainforests of Central Africa. These gentle giants inhabit the dense forests of the Virunga Mountains, spanning the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and Uganda. Due to poaching, disease, and habitat destruction, they were once on the brink of extinction. However, through determined conservation efforts and local community involvement, their numbers have started to increase. The Mountain Gorillas of Congo have become a global symbol of wildlife resilience and the impact of grassroots conservation.
